Elk

Right around 70,000 Elk call New Mexico home which put them at the 2nd most abundant animal in NM right behind Mule Deer. NM bulls will range from 280" to over 400" of antler. Most elk hunts will take place between 6,000 to 9,000 feet. 

Physical Condition

Must be able to hike long distances for extended periods of time.

Must have reliable boots as well as hot & cold weather gear.

What to expect

Every morning we will start off with a hearty breakfast before hitting the mountains. Once we get to our first glassing position we will set up the optics for glassing and to listen for bugles. once we locate a shooter bull of hunters liking we will get a plan together for a stalk or a plan to get into position for a rifle shot. Once the bull has been taken we will take some quality pictures before packing out your bull.
