New Mexico has an estimated 350 to 400 Big Horn Sheep which can make for a very difficult hunt. The hunts will typically take place between 12,000 and 13,000 feet in elevation. At that elevation you will also be challenged with a shortage of oxygen. The hunt can also be heavy impacted by changing weather conditions.
Must be able to hike miles at elevations well over 10,000 feet.
